At Haslucks Green Junior School we believe religious education supports children’s development of beliefs, and values, promoting respect, empathy and a sense of belonging. Religious Education challenges pupils to reflect on, consider, analyse, interpret and evaluate topics of truth, belief, faith and ethics and to communicate their responses thoughtfully. It offers the opportunity to develop and articulate their personal beliefs, ideas, values and experiences, whilst respecting the right of others to differ. Religious education also contributes greatly towards pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development through developing understanding of religions and beliefs of other children within their school, local community and world.
